Sirmais Zigismunds from Latvia broke the World Junior Record in Javelin Throw. During European Cup Winter Throwing in Sofia he threw 84.47 in his first attempt.
The previous record of 83.87 was made by Andreas Torkildsen (Norway) in
2001.
