Boiler Installation

I am quite good at installing plumbing and could probably install a combi boiler. Could I install my own combi boiler and then just get a plumber to hook it up to the gas? If you are a plumber would you put your name on an installation that someone else has installed. I was happy to learn… I've had a guy install a combi boiler, another plumber link it to the water feeds and yet another plumber to check it all over. He was happy enough to write out the cert for it all. He did check everything though, the meter and the piping.

Replacing the heating system in your home is a process that can take an entire day; but in this time-lapse footage, you can watch it reduced to just a few mi. . .

I wouldn't risk it if I was you. If you have to get someone in to fit your lights I would say that it is probably best to get somone in to fit a boiler. Better to pay for it to be done right than to have your house blow up.

I think that you can install your own boiler. You need to get a certified gas engineer to inspect it though. Not a plumber.

I think you'd struggle to get a CORGI registered plumber to put his name to a DIY installation. Why don't you just fork out for the whole job? You can then go and do something more enjoyable, and get some sort of piece of mind or at least a written guarantee which will probably help when you come to sell the property.
